Hello and welcome! My name is John, I'm a neo-pro science fiction, fantasy, and mystery writer, focusing primarily on short stories and novelettes at the moment. I'm a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), as well as Codex.
Professionally, I'm a computer engineer with a background in robotics and network security. I'm a member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). My academic publications include papers on multi-robot coordination and control, insider threat detection, NetFlow analysis, and a game theoretic analysis of the Conficker worm.
My site here is still under construction; right now I'm primarily updating my blog where you can also find links to my published fiction -- keep an eye on it for announcements of changes, con appearances, and new stories. Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter.
If you want a quick free listen to my fiction, check out Drabblecast 224, a Doubleheader episode featuring two of my flash pieces.
My short story Whalefall is available for free on After Ever After.
